Frequently Asked Questions
Contract Manufacturing at Fäth – Your Questions Answered
What Batch Sizes and Component Complexities Does Fäth Contract Manufacturing Cover?
Fäth Group manufactures from batch size 1 – ranging from individual prototypes and spare-part assemblies to small series. Our focus is on complex precision components and assemblies made of stainless steel and engineering plastics, particularly for the semiconductor, life sciences, and high-tech industries. We also reliably meet demanding requirements for cleanroom manufacturing, documentation, and quality assurance.
What Cleanroom Classes Does Fäth Manufacture In?
Fäth manufactures and assembles under controlled cleanroom conditions in accordance with ISO 14644. Depending on the project, assembly, cleaning, and packaging are carried out in ISO Class 6 or ISO Class 7 cleanrooms. The appropriate cleanroom environment is selected based on the specific customer and process requirements.
What Materials Does Fäth Process?
We process stainless steel, aluminum, and high-performance engineering plastics such as PEEK, PTFE, PFA, PVDF, PP, POM, and PE. Materials are selected according to your specific technical requirements and operating conditions.
When Is Contract Manufacturing at Fäth More Advantageous Than In-House Production?
We process high-alloy stainless steels (e.g. 316L), high-performance plastics such as PVDF, PFA, and PP, as well as other materials according to customer specifications. Material selection is carried out together with you based on the specific process requirements.
When Is Contract Manufacturing at Fäth More Advantageous Than In-House Production?
Contract manufacturing is a valuable option when your production capacity is fully utilized, specialized expertise or cleanroom facilities are unavailable, a new component needs to be introduced into production, or outsourcing makes strategic and economic sense. We support you in evaluating this make-or-buy decision.
Do You Also Manufacture Individual Parts?
es. In addition to complex assemblies, we manufacture individual precision components, prototypes, and spare parts. We also provide cost-effective manufacturing for small batches and series production.
