My path into the world of semiconductors

My start at Fäth GmbH

I have been working as a project manager in the Gas Support Systems division at Fäth GmbH since March 1, 2025. I originally come from Glauchau in Saxony, a region that is heavily influenced by the automotive industry. I was able to gain my first experience in project management during my business studies. Later, I also trained in production management – with a technical background.

Before joining Fäth GmbH, I worked for over nine years as a project manager in plant construction – mainly in the energy, petrochemical and industrial plant sectors. I was able to gain a lot of experience during this time, but at some point I felt the need for a change: I wanted to switch to a future-oriented industry that combines technological innovation with social relevance – and that’s exactly what I found in the world of semiconductors at Fäth GmbH.

Why I chose Fäth GmbH

The semiconductor industry has always interested me – it provides the basis for technologies that drive our modern world: powerful chips for smartphones, cars, medical devices or energy-efficient industrial applications. It is exciting to see how precise and well thought-out the chemical and gas supply systems have to be for all this to work. In my field, I accompany gas support systems from A to Z: from quotation calculation to technical planning and implementation – whether panels, gas cabinets, hook-ups or smaller services. Every project brings new challenges – and that’s exactly what appeals to me.

What impressed me right from the start was the strong team spirit: despite busy schedules, everyone here helps everyone else – openly, with commitment and expertise. We also work together as equals externally: customers, suppliers and partners treat us in a professional, friendly and solution-oriented manner. For me as the central contact person in the project business, this is the key to success.
